About

Mika is a seasoned social impact consultant with over a decade of experience supporting schools, social enterprises, and philanthropists, primarily in the entertainment industry. Mika’s journey in education began as a Teach For America (TFA) Chicago Corps Member from 2013-2015, where she taught early childhood education at a federally funded Head Start.

Following her TFA Chicago commitment, Mika joined the founding staff of KIPP Ignite Academy in Los Angeles as a founding elementary school teacher and social-emotional learning (SEL) specialist. She helped grow the school for three years.

After five years in the classroom, Mika transitioned to the philanthropic sector, serving as a program director at The Goldie Hawn Foundation. There, she supported the growth and scale of Goldie’s MindUP Program, a Scholastic-produced SEL curriculum PreK-8th grade students. In this role, Mika managed school sales & partnerships across the United States and supported the Education Director in training over 125 schools in the MindUP program.

Following Goldie’s foundation, Mika became the Director, and eventually the Vice President, of Client Engagement at The Artemis Agency, a boutique consulting firm specializing in entertainment philanthropy. At Artemis, Mika led a team of account managers who provided exceptionally detailed and creative services to entertainment philanthropists and culture strategists across HIV/AIDS, youth mental health, adverse childhood experiences, and STEM education.

As a newly formed LLC, Mika Jain Consulting sits at the intersection of impact and strategy. Mika supports small to mid-sized nonprofits and foundations in building and scaling impactful programs, optimizing communication streams, enhancing marketing and brand-building efforts, measuring double and triple-bottom-line outcomes, and strengthening organizational capacity.

Mika balances her time as the principal and owner of Mika Jain Consulting with her school work at the University of Southern California, where she is pursuing her second master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship at the Marshall School of Business.

Mika is a proud judge for the Anthem AWards, the branch of social impact awards for The Webbys.
